According to the reports of Zhongyang Broadcast News of the Chinese Voice, the Japanese Government approved new Solar Energy subsidies recently. It is widely regarded as having the major boon for some Chinese PV companies to develop Japan PV market.

Zhiye Xingnan recently announced , Japanese Minister of Economic, Trade and Industry, Japan passed the renewable energy incentives and also approved the Solar subsidies, that will encourage their installation at least add 96 billion, which is equal to the PV and Solar energy of 320 million watt, the output energy is equivalent to generating capacity of three nuclear reactors. This policy requires public institutions in Japan to use a preset price to buy the electricity generated by renewable energy such as solar, wind, geothermal, etc, and its deadline is 20 years. Meanwhile, Japan government will provide the subsidies of 42 yen per kilowatt hour, the subsidies amounts are two times the amount of German subsidies, subsidies for China more than three times, and provide the subsidies of 23.1 yen per kilowatt hour to PV power generation, which the subsidies are higher than the subsidies of Germany’s 4.87 European.

For this policy, Deutsche Bank had a first reaction. Its function of clean energy analysts reported, this subsidies will promote the sales of PV manufactures widely, and Japan can be expected to replace Italy to be the second-largest PV market as following German. In fact, before Japan’s Fukushima nuclear accident, nuclear power accounted for nearly 30% of the supplies of Japan’s electricity. After the cessation of nuclear power, the Japanese Government knowingly reduced to the dependence on nuclear power, and also putted the solar energy economical to the agenda.

Some experts pointed out that this must be good news for PV companies in China, although our market share is not much, due to the stimulation of this policy, it was believed that a lot of companies will want to focus attention on exploring the untapped market. Besides the subsidies adjustment is likely to attract more Chinese Solar companies, pay more attention to PV companies into the Japanese market.
